Air compressor

Any help or pointers, I fitted a new Dunlop compressor to my 2011 4.4 as I was getting the compressor overheating info from my IID tool and the usual yellow triangle with bong then red triangle, do not exceed 30mph.
After fitting the new compressor cleared faults, steering reset after battery reconnection, works great up and down faster than before no warnings lovely jubbly.
Well, so I thought, after a couple of on off starts I get the bong and yellow triangle? normal ride height only? Plug in the IID tool and get the message algorithm communication fault?
Any ideas, what am I missing? Big Cry

After a few messages like before things settled down and are working well before I changed the compressor I renewed the front ride height sensor as I had a message come up with the IID tool that was the problem? I don`t think it was because I still had to replace the compressor.
Have you got a problem?

Yes, just made a post there.
Saturday night, 'bong' suspension fault, max speed 30mph, stopped car, restated and drove a couple of miles and same thing. Restarted and raised car to full height and then access height, returned to normal height, drove another couple of miles and same again, then 'compressor over temp' (I think was the exact words) got car home and left it.
Sunday, drove 40 miles with no issues.
Monday, drove 3 miles up the road and same fault, 'bong' suspension fault, max speed 30mph. Returned home, car goes up & down with now issues. Removed compressor cover and found the compressor very hot. Started car, steering wheel lock to lock and compressor cutting in & out as required with no issues. When driving, you can hear the compressor (left cover off etc) kicks off after 1 minute or so, ok for a few miles then all of a sudden 'bong' suspension fault, max speed 30mph, as soon as this happens, you can hear the compressor pulsing out air.
Phoned my INDY (who is away on holiday for Easter) he said, 1st thing to replace compressor. Left the car on full height mode for 2 days, no dropping at all.
Replaced the compressor & relay tonight, out for test drive and 'bong' suspension fault, max speed 30mph, again, as soon as this happens, you can hear the compressor pulsing out air.

Not happy, been searching through posts but unable to find something similar.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Do you have an IID tool? I know of I, RST Landrovers Ltd, 1-3 Kingsland Road, West Mersea, Essex, CO5 8RB or a couple in Kent

Sorry that Indy out of your area.

Compressor Type

If you changed the compressor type from old (Made by Hitachi) to new (made by AMK) you need to reflash the suspension with the IID tool. This could be a reason for your problem (assuming the physical parts and bits are ok) 2008 HSE B. Grey

This type of behaviour is exactly what mines doing now but thats because of it needing a new air bag on the front offside. If I put the suspension on high I can hear loads of air escaping. On access height or normal it's fine, no air leak etc until I hit a bump or accelerate, it then sounds like a lorries air brakes, not sure if thats what you meant by pulsing.

Tinman, did you resolve your issue?, as I'm having exactly the same problem.
Was going down the new compressor route aswell, But I don't believe that's the issue & after reading your post It's convincing me even more Rolling Eyes

Dave, had a good look & squirt, no bubbles. Did it at Normal height, any advantage of doing it at off road height (although I suppose it wouldn't hurt). Good luck with yours. Thumbs Up
