Scotland 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Aruba

I haven't given the pricing a lot of thought, it has been well maintained by my Indie specialist in Fife over the years.
This year it has had all the brake pipes done, four new Pirelli tyres last month, last year it has had new battery, new althernator, new oil cooler, new EGR valves - these are many of the things that fail on them at the 100K+ mark.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black

It is a beautiful car and a bonus, as mentioned above, that it's an enthusiasts car. Let me know when you've thought about price a bit more but think it might be out my price range.

England 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Bought my Java black 4.4 04 car about 18 months ago- despite horror story's from every Tom, Dick and Harry mine has only cost basic oil/filters change (do it myself for just under £100) and a replacement suspension pump £300 (fitted myself in minutes - but turned out that the old one was fine anyway) so far. I have bought little bits and pieces that have become broken or lost over the years but breakers are plentiful and put genuine RR seat covers on the front seats (£30 on Ebay!!) - car has no rust on it whatsoever and has not missed a beat - mind you it has under 90k on the clock. Almost forgot - XYZ switch was faulty when I bought the car but, as I put the deposit down with a credit card, the card company picked up the £600 bill.

Thanks Bruno, great to hear it's not all horror stories and £££.

The one I went to see Sunday had a few scrapes and the aircon wasn't working. Is this a common fault? Is it likely to be something? I know this isn't going to be definite and needs someone to look over it. I decided against buying it.

If you do not have a good knowledge of the lr322 then I would suggest that you take someone who does - or shop around the smaller dealers as they dont seem too keen to hang on to older RR's - there are plenty to choose from so dont rush and make sure you at least put a deposit down using a credit card (must be £100+) so you are covered if the car self destructs and the dealer doesn't play ball. A full RR dealer service history is worth it's weight in gold - you can search the previous invoices and stare in disbelief at just how much owners are screwed over at RR garages. These cars are so easy to do a basic service on and I'm pretty sure that regular basic maintenance is the key to longevity.

Thanks for the replies. I've had a look at 3 now. This car is for the wife and she likes them more than me so me riding in ain't gonna happen 😂

Can someone explain or do you have pictures or the RR pre facelift and facelift models please? From what I can gather, it's the headlights, grill and rear brake lights which have changed. I've seen a number of lights and I'm sure some aren't stock, which has confused me. Are the facelift ones led? Does the interior change that much? What date was the facelift? 2006?

Tia

Facelift was around 06

Older ones had much squarer headlights and the rear lights were red & orange.

Facelift went with more oblong headlights that cut into the grill & red & white rear lights - not LED though

Inside was a refit too - it went from BMW electronics & engines to Jaguar - so touch screen sat nav is the most notable difference.

A Trap

AC on the facelift is better, face vents added to the to of the dash, higher capacity compressor, more airflow and quieter
Better in car entertainment
TDV8 better
Gearbox better

Everything is pointing me towards the TDV8. Black with a black interior would be perfect!

TDV8 would be my choice.

I found it a better engine than the earlier 4.4 petrol engines - and IMHO the TD6 is truly awful.

Apologies for picking this up, don't want to be a pedant but it may be helpful for someone. The deposit doesn't need to be over £100 for you to get section 75 protection, even just £1 will do it. Everything else I completely agree with though.

I also wouldn't be too rigid on the black leather. The only reason I say so is that I went out looking for black leather, and ended up loving the blue leather I have now. In the flesh a few of the colours looked great.

Good luck with your search

Mine will definitely be on the market later this week having just secured an L405 TDV8.
