Air suspension strut.

I'm just about to buy two replacement front air suspension struts for my 06 td6. The advert says 'for up to chassis number 6A99999'
Here's my stupid question. Can I assume they will fit mine, as the last 9 chassis number digits are 36A203533.
Your advice and observations will be most welcome. Travelling around in circles again.

Looks like your VIN fits those parameters,

I did two front struts on my 2006 S/C and got Delphi from Dan at Duckworths. They were great.

hope this helps,

What confused me was 5 numerals after the capital A, and I have 6 numerals! Travelling around in circles again.

I might be wrong but I don't think, given you vin number, that those struts will fit your car. I'd be inclined to pm Dan at Duckworths to confirm. Thumbs Up

As you say your vin isn’t in that range. I’d speak to Duckworths or another dealer to be on the safe side. Current: FF Westminster money pit

I think it's in range - looks like they've just missed off a digit. If your car was later it would have a 7A VIN. Take a look at the ever helpful Advanced Factors site:

There is also a VIN decoder on the D3 site which has more info. Not for FF but the principle is the same.

I understood that changing the bags alone was more trouble than it's worth. More difficult than the whole strut and the damper may fail anyway if the bag has failed due to age? 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

It’s easier to change the whole thing yes, but more expensive and more often than not the strut is still in good working order. I changed my two bags and it’s not a hard job. Take the top nut off and it all slides off and on. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

I'm going to change the whole thing because of the number of issues others have encountered after changing just the bag.
I've sorted the vin number conundrum as well. There was a '9' missing from the vin range.
Thank you all for your input. Travelling around in circles again.
