3.0 question I can’t find true answer to

I promise I’ve searched.

Are the l405 3.0’s a tdv6 or an sdv6? On some posts I’ve searched people say they’re Sdv6. If the latter. Are they variable turbo?

Also do they run the same cambelt set up as the old tdv6?

L405 3.0 diesel are TDV6 to MY2018 (except for the diesel hybrid which was SDV6).
From MY2019 they are SDV6.

No idea about cambelts or turbos and that in itself may depend on which model year.

I believe all SVA are sdv6 too regardless of year it is better to have and not need then need and not have

Nobody seems to know what the cam belt set up is on the L405 3.0 tdv6. Can’t find anything online either. Tried to ring local main dealer today but kept getting stuck on hold 5th in the queue

2015 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Havana

3.0 L405s can be either TDV6 or SDV6

TDV6 is single turbo and SDV6 is twin turbo. If you look under the bonnet and there is a empty void on the drivers side (RHD) then it will be a TDV6, only one air box

Cambelt is the same on either, and the same since introduction on 10MY D4 and RRS

Ok thanks. I’ll have a look. Reason I ask is the 3.0 L405 we have is so much quicker than our tdv6 discovery it’s unreal.
Bit of a pita about the cam belt as well. I’d of thought Land Rover would’ve come up with a more efficient design by now.
Oh well. Deep pockets come cam belt change time Big Cry
