On a brighter note Mrs T has decided on an area at last and it is to be within 20 km of Sarlat and possibly a flat in either Arcachon or Frejus

Lovely place. I would try it in the summer to confirm it fits. Out of interest which route did you take coming back? John 2008 Stornoway Grey 3.6 Tdv8 Vogue - SOLD 2005 TD6 Java Black Vogue - Written off!! GAP iiD BT-Sold |

Yes we have been in summer and it does get a tad busy - route back was one you suggested avoiding Paris

To be honest it is my own fault I haven't had any before and know where most of the static cameras are and of course they put the sign up about 3 to 400m before hand just didn't think they would follow up at least I know for next trip |

At least, for the time being and AFAIK , no penalty points involved. John

My brother has just received his fine from when he came out on his motorbike last October. So it seems they do catch up with you eventually.

If French resident and you still have a UK licence they can require you to change to a French one after an offence involving points. However, anecdotally, they don't always pursue that for one point. John
