Reputable garage to do a gearbox mega flush

Hi, I'm looking for a reputable place in North Lincs/South York area to do a mega flush service on my tdv8 3.6 134000 miler gearbox. What kind of price can I expect to pay. Thanks for any forthcoming advice. Thumbs Up 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

Hi Rapiscan,
In November 2018 I was told by Main Dealer that “Automatic gearbox oil + filter service required” due to inspection service sheet 1 as vehicle was 10 years old.
Quote £997.47.

In 2016 during the oil service a “gearbox connector was found leaking” which was replaced along with “gearbox seal, sump pan and oil”.
Quote £711.53.

Needless to say, the repair in 2016 wasn’t mentioned and they would have carried out the work again if I had not brought it to their attention.
When I asked why this had not been picked up, the visibly offended service agent sat there with a face like a soundly spanked, incandescent posterior, and replied that she shouldn’t be expected to trawl through every service record, even though at this time I think they might have had 4 at most
So there you have it, some idea of Main Dealer charges. A true friend is someone who worries about letting you down........ But never does.

Oh my, I thought Yorkshire men were blunt Laughing

Rapiscan,

Search for bodsy on here. He is mobile and well thought of for such as megaflush. It may take a while to arrange but it does seem he is well worth it, and the crispy bacon butties you have to supply Confused

I'm likely to try to arrange one with him shortly. Cheers
Richard
