I am looking at 4.4 TDV8 budget will get me a 2010/11/12 with higher mileage but that does not worry me as all have FSH but I am now thinking maybe 4.2sc or 5.0 petrols and getting LPG put on.
Which in the end do you guys think would be the better buy, bearing in mind I can get a great 4.2sc and LPG for about 3 grand less than the TDV8

Depends on your driving.

If you do little mileage, petrol, go for the 5.0 S/C. It's great.
If you do lots of short journeys, as above.
If you visit ULEZ areas, as above.


Having said that, the guy I bought mine off was doing 30k a year in it, so the limited mileage isn't a strict rule

I dont do city driving, probably 12-15k per year. My run to work is 20miles straight road, plus trips down to cornwall or up to ipswich from Bristol. So mainly nice runs and certainly not stop start driving

4.4 tdv8 is the motor for you then imho. 30+ mpg 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
