Interior Mirror Cover - Is this normal?

Hi all

The plastic shroud that covers the sensors, wiring for the rear view mirror etc sits much lower than the shaded pattern in the screen itself, doesnt feel loose or anything but Ive always thought these things followed the pattern in the glass. I can see there’s a camera or something when i look outside in so maybe thats why but other cars seem to have a shroud that stops with the pattern not drops below by 75mm or so?

Anyone else have this, is it normal depending on spec?

Thanks

Carl

That's what it looks like on the Vogue P400e. Maybe you have some extra cameras/sensors that require more space? Probably a photo from the front would help to see how that space is used...

Here's the front view of the cover, there's a little camera inside but to be honest looks like it would work well in the little opening in the hatched area a few inches above?

No idea Stan, was hoping you guys can tell me? Just seems really odd, almost like it slipped down, it doesn't feel loose but there's a gap between the top of the cover and the headliner which would suggest it could move up, anyone know how to take it off?

Yes possibly as I have both features on my car along with traffic sign recognition. The opening in the hatched area of the glass would of been more logical, and the newer ones have 3 openings in the hatch as seen on adaras car?

is it an original screen and more importantly is it the right screen as i had Autoglas have 4 attempts at getting the right screen all had a slightly different surround?

might be worth checking.

Its original glass and the cover fits snugly around the rear view mirror stem so cant move up, just seems so out of place to have it like that, LR at its best I guess Rolling with laughter
