The TDV8 Diesels aren’t gutless, they feel more torquey and quicker than the SC in normal everyday driving, it’s only when to ringng the SC out and use all the rpms that they are quicker. Watch Harries Garage on his TDV8.

I have a TD6 and think that it’s a good car. Obviously it’s not going to blast around like a sports car as it only has 174hp under the bonnet. Some folk get them chipped up but this then places strain on the auto box which isn’t known for its strength and longevity....

I have had both the Td6 and currently a Tdv8. I was happy enough with the Td6 but the gearbox reported weakness was always in the background.

Totally agree with weenie, the 2007 onwards TDV8 sorted so many issues and is a massive step up in performance and refinement.

I didn't find the performance of my td6 too bad to be honest. Downside was the mpg was about 14/15 as we really only used it around town. Made me wish I'd bought the supercharged. |
