iiD tool vs SDD

So, I've been eyeing up the gap diagnostics IID BT tool and trying to compare it to the JLR SDD software. The software seems to be relatively cheap to pick up, and an interface cable isn't expensive, so what can the IID do that justifies its price tag? Is it purely that it's more convenient to use since it's a bluetooth / app driven thing, or can it do stuff that JLR's own software can't do?

IID fits in your pocket, easy to use, search on here.
SDD needs a PC and a pass thru interface ( pathfinder interface quite expensive depends on MY) and a yearly subscription. Oh, and needs the PC (Panasonic Toughbook range recommended) to be plugged in and a (recommended) battery charger/supply to be able to use SDD.
Thumbs Up

I've had IID for years but I'm surprised at some of the things it cant do. I emailed GAP a log of my MAP sensor fault and the reply i got back was it could be several things, one of which being check operation of the turbo. I asked Pat if i could do this in the tool and he said it wasn't possible. So its got to go in to a garage for diagnostics now. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

but when a dealer hooks up a Toughbook, all the wires look complicated and more technical than a phone, so can charge much more!!

Can anyone tell me how far you can drill down on the suspension, what either one is best for suspension diagnosis.
I have a problem just can't figure

I have the dreaded suspension fault on my 2011 Vogue 4.4D

from start-up everything seems fine around 10 miles I get the warning.

all air bags seem OK, in standard or off road selected vehicle holds height overnight.

its my belief, that the compressor is overheating and shutting the system down with the warning "suspension fault"

I am thinking that one or more of the height sensors could be faulty, and falsely telling the compressor to pump and overheat.

When I do get the suspension warning the car can drive for miles in the "standard" setting and I don't notice any change in the ride or feel of the car.

I am looking for a ride height test, if they need programing a tool to do both.

any information about the ride height and galley pressure for comparison.

The compressor seems to work fine but is fairly quick to overheat when worked hard.

I would like to know how you identify the different models of compressor,

I have a icarsoft i930 scanner that will read the existing values, but I don't think it will allow adjustment.

also I have the 2011 Vogue model with digital dash, seems like there may be changes in parts how can I find the right part number numbers.

any help will be appreciated.
