Superlock problem 2004

Dear sirs....

great problem with clients car: the keys are without function on the fob, in the last years the client open and closes the car with one of the normal keys, at the door lock. Yesterday the doorlock also without any function, I believe he switches to hard to the left side to open it..... it is broken or so out of the x , the ADAC came with servicecar, no possibility to open the door, battery from car is new, enough power on the car. Also with a long piece of metal it was not possible to open over one of the grips at the inner doors or the central button in dash...., superlock because of closing over the doorlock.

We dont want to smash the side window with a stone....

If driver's door manual lock broken / not working, and remote functionality not working, no point in getting a new key from Land Rover I guess. As you say because the car is superlocked pulling on the door pulls wire wire will not work, neither will pressing the unlock button on the dash.

( I know, I tried all the above)

You could try prising the top of the door open enough to be able to drop the key into the ignition and also turn it? Special skills required for this one!

Other than that, it will have to be a window .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

I know you say the fob doesn’t lock / unlock and that may be a problem deeper within the car not the fob, soooooo have you tried holding down the unlock button to possibly roll down the windows.

I know it’s a really really long shot and probably a ridiculous one as it may not even be paired with the car but anything is better than smashing a window. The only other way I believe is to completely drill out the door lock and use a screwdriver to engage the door latch.

Best of luck... Thumbs Up ______________________________

Dear sirs, thanks for help. Now I have new idea: will take a hacksaw or an powercut and cut out the right part of the cylinder holder from the door handle (it is LHD), until I cut the little torx screw, which is from inside behind a rubber part. Then will take a screwtool and open the X ...., new door handle is ordered at breaker!

Will make picture and report.... TDV8 4.4 from 2012, 278.000km like new + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021
