M99TYK, back to your original post if there's a cracking sound opening the door it quite likely catching the bonnet and only a matter of time before it chips the paint. Lift the bonnet and below the hinge you'll see a small 11mm adjustable bolt. Wind it up a bit and all should be ok. Could just be the check strap needs some grease, so try that first but if no improvement wind the bolt up a couple of turns before any damage occurs...had this myself.

I greased the check strap on Friday and over the weekend it has seemed to work it’s way in nicely and is now almost gone, I’ll try with that bolt tonight and hopefully will cure it. Thanks for the advice!

What I would do is really push the point that the car should come with an approved used 2 year warranty. I cant see how they can justify wriggling out of that given that they are and approved used supplier after all.

Something I noticed when looking through recent photos was the show plate in the car that I purchased, luckily I took a screenshot of prior to them removing it from the website after securing my deposit. I would love to see if the word ‘Approved Used’ were used within the sales literature, if only I had too a screenshot of that.

They are adamant that they are no longer LR approved, I can’t find them on the approved used search. Still waiting for a response on the LR warranty!

Their website talks about 'Land Rover Approved Used Cars' 'on a variety of pre-owned Land Rovers'

At the bottom of that page is a link to 'Approved Used Land Rover' which takes you to all the cars they sell. None of the individual ads (irrespective of car age) mention warranty

I suspect most punters won't know the difference and will only find out once there's a problem

the only definitive way to buy a FF with a proper two year warranty is to visit the landrover used approved site where all the cars from various dealers are listed.. ... - .- -.

Does the car end with "GNZ" by any chance?
I looked into one very similar from Stratstone in Newport with a tad over 30k miles, it had been bought by a chap in August of 2018 and his circumstances had changed, he put it back to the dealer to sell, so the pictures used were over six months out at time of my enquiry April 2019, they simply re-did the ad with the old pics.

I'd tend to suggest that advertising the car (even if with an older photo) displaying the official Land Rover "APPROVED" logo is straight up purporting that it's an approved used vehicle under the scheme. If it's been on Autotrader can they assist with a copy of the advertisement at all ? Conflict of interest perhaps.

Alternatively perhaps you could submit a "subject access request" to the dealer for disclosure of sales literature etc. A load of hassle perhaps but on principal it seems they should honour a 2 year warranty for you. Current

A quick google reverse image search found the ad still live on pistonheads.
Those reflections on the windscreen are quite unique.
