I’ve done a search but I can’t find a post related what towing mirrors work with a L405, what are folks using and how do you rate them?

Everything I tried on my L322 didn’t help - they vibrated enough to be useless and the standard mirrors have sufficient visibility - so i’ve never bothered on my L405 and not had a problem towing a variety of things.....

I tow a 7ft wide caravan regularly and use the large Milenco mirrors on my L405. The police are very hot on stopping caravaners who tow without towing mirrors.
I find that the standard mirrors are okay when cruising and the towing mirrors great when manoeuvring around towns and and negotiating tight spaces. I tend to angle them so that I get a good view of the caravan wheels as well as the rear view. This helps to avoid clipping the wheels on kerbs etc when in really tight spots.

A fair point - I did buy some Milencos, just didn’t find them helpful - I think I only used them once - but probably better safe than sorry

I’ve used Milenco ones before on my D4 and T6 but I “lost” one whilst park up at work😡 I’ll give those a try out👍

Ent, is that you buddy over from the dark side D3 & D4 forum  "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

I use the big milenco, vibrate like a bastard and they move out or alignment really easily. I’m going to try my old ones when I tow next ,

Simple to fit and well made. Main mirrors can close without interference and the turn LEDs aren't obstructed.

Milenco here they don’t vibrate and are crystal clear, you couldn’t see the back of my Van properly without them it’s really noticeable when I don’t use them for short journeys. MY17 Santorini Black L494 Autobiography 5.0 SC - Sorry!

MAE , are they EMUK mirrors you have on your L405? I messaged this company back in January and advised they were in development. I current use milenco ones, they are ok but will upgrade to EMUK once released

The car is a L405 and these are the Oppi mirrors as there are no EMUK mirrors to fit as yet. I believe the Oppi mirrors are designed and made in Germany although sold through a company in Holland.
