SDV6

Trying to get some comparisons between the SDV6 & the old TDV6.
OK yes both V6 - but with different tunes so different quoted figures.
What are people finding in the real world?
What's the SDV6 like to drive etc, etc.

Owning a V8 Diesel and having a loan SDV6 for a week - I would sum it up in one word - adequate, and that’s not meant in a derogatory way Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

No comparison between the TD6 and the SDV6, the SDV6 has enough power , is smooth and does not feel out of place in a FFRR . I personally think the TD6 is underpowered and noisy for the amount of weight it has to pull. Just my humble opinion. As always its best to drive both and see how either suits you. We are all different. 2015 4.4 AB

had a late 2018 sdv6 as a courtesy car last week for 5 days. quite frankly I was gob smacked how good it was compared to my older sdv8. Felt quicker, smoother and was defo more economical. I can only hope that more recent sdv8's have improved otherwise, what's the point?

Old TDV6 has one turbo whereas the SDV6 has sequential turbo's (Two) so no comparison really! We have an SDV6 in my wife late D4 and its an epic engine (especially with a MAP on it)

I would have gone for the V6 over the V8 in my 405 had it been a later car... Unfortunately they only put dynamic suspension on the V8's and that sold it to me Thumbs Up
