Two post ramp SWL. for L322 ?

A friend of my son has just offered us the use of his workshop that includes a 2 post ramp.
I am a bit worried that it’s 3 tonne SWL may not be sufficient for my L322, so I have not taken up his very kind offer yet.
I know that Craig and others use 2 posters but wonder what SWL they are ?
Cheers

Mike

As far as I can tell, our FFs come in at 2500Kg, so add a bit for fuel and the inevitable junk, sorry spares, we carry you should be fine on a 3000Kg lift. If it's a commercial working garage the lift must be tested and certified for insurance purposes at least. If it's in a private garage, then you'll have to go by condition and a feel for it. Cheers

Thanks Richard.
It’s in a private workshop , but is a brand new ramp, and he tells me it was tested by the installer to 3.2 tonne .

Testing needs to be done to +25% if under 20 tonnes so 3.75 tonnes is the test requirement. BMW i3 Electric Car

Thanks gents,
The workshop Manual just says “use approved 2 post” but no SWL stated.

A Trap

The lift will work, problems come from not placing the vehicle and legs correctly or if the rubber pads are worn or missing, as it’s s new ramp this last point should be mute.
