Condition over mileage/age, but..?

I'm hoping to drop on a L322 before the end of the summer and went to look at a 5.0l supercharged yesterday. The condition was pretty good, I need to go back for a longer look and listen/drive but it is quite leggy on nearly 160k miles. At what point does miles catch up with condition when considering buying on the basis of things wearing out at a scary rate no matter how well its looked after? First time FFRR owner

You missed out maintenance - I’d put that in between condition and mileage

Regular servicing and preventative maintenance count for a lot.

I also look for little indicators like 4 matching premium tyres as an indicator - 4 odd cheapo tyres is a huge red light etc.

Good point, I need to look at the records. The mot history doesn't show a trait of minor issues going unaddressed, the dealer has replaced all tyres for new conti grabbers. First time FFRR owner

A lot will depend on where the mileage was done, 80,000 round London 'v' 180,000 on the motorway, I'll take the motorway every time. BMW i3 Electric Car
