Occasional issue 4.4 sdv8

Hi all , sometimes after restarting my 2015 4.4 sdv8 is will surge between 500 and 1000 revs and sometimes cut out , i restart, and it might happen again and then its perfect , no faults shown on IID , any ideas, booked into MD but just wondered if anyone had this issue. 2015 4.4 AB

Yup

Within the first 1/2 mile the car would over rev 2-3000 revs . I never had a cut out . SDV8 4.4

I just slow or even halt / neutral, and all returned to normal. I assumed it was me !

Eventually I had a proper fault _ yellow light etc

Throttle body stuck, shutter didn’t spring back, Well sooted up. ( part LR020694)

Really easy for your engineer to get to & look at.

Engineer also updated the software for the car 2016

Since then no further experience,

Let me know how you get on and if comparable . Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

Thanks for the quick response Bill , mine seems a bit different , on start up engine 'hunts' between 500 - 950 revs , like it not getting enough fuel. It sometimes cuts out but starts up perfectly and drives 100%. This has only happened 3 times in the last two months. I will give tell the MD your experience as it may be similar. Thanks again,
