Tv signal question...

Hi all in my 07 having the tv on in the rear and it’s very choppy when driving is that expected? I live about 15 miles line of sight from the mast not an issue in the house at all. Is this normal? Is there any booster or aerial upgrades which are any good? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

Not sure about anyone else but mine is choppy when moving. I have only had it on while driving a few times and it was choppy for the audio, i wasnt looking at the picture.

The reception in mine is hopeless most of the time. I was wondering about aerial upgrades too. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

I noticed that my DAB reception is equally hopeless - it seems to come back when I go over a bump so, I'm assuming there is a bad connection somewhere.

I read somewhere that DAB shares aerials with the TV and that there are two on each rear side window.

I've had a poke around and can't find anything obviously loose on either side. Do both sides feed into the head unit or somewhere else? I'm wondering if there is a single bad connection that I haven't come across yet...

Is there any way of testing the individual modules other than by substitution? Would a single module failure bring down the whole aerial system? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Back on this yesterday my driveshaft fell out again (as they do) and whilst waiting for recovery I was basically in a field with open sight to sandy Heath transmitter the picture was great but the sound still had drop outs every few seconds - any tips? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6

Gone:

I had my original analogue unit upgraded by Baris who also provided new aerials.
I can drive for 50 odd miles and not loose the signal, so my passenger tells me, so it can be done.
I'm pretty sure it is down to the aerials.

I don’t think they will ever be brilliant when you are driving about. Should be good stationary though.

The upgrades Baris offers is only for the early BMW based electronics, just in case those with the Ford based electronics get excited....
