Hi All, i have just changed my disks and pads, and wound back the park brakes having removed th actuators. Passenger one was fine, put back together, no issues. When I put the driver side actuator back on and re-assembled everything I get 'Park Brake Fault' Recalibrate park brake messages.

This is on a 2013 Rangee Rover Vogue SE L405

Further investigation seems to show no voltage on the cable gong to the actuator when handbrake lever pushed/pulleed. left hand one is engaging and disengaging ok and audible sound of movement.

I have put 12v on the outer pins of the actuator, reversed polarity and it revolves both ways.

Im leaning towards thinking it must be the EPB control module failed, even though it worked perfectly before...

Does anyone know where this module is located in the vehicle?

Also any ideas, further things to check would bee most appreciated.

Don't know whether it applies to the 405 but for the 322 there is a bedding procedure to be followed for the EPB. I would think there must be similar for the 405.

Perhaps you have done it?

Where did you find that information, seems like there is a world of useful stuff in thee documents below that image... is it public ?

A big thanks to Baltiic Blue above for helping me out with some further info.

Some further fettling has identified the issue as being the actuator itself, despite it still turning if separate 12v feed applied. I guess there is some sensor in the EPB module that wasn't picking up it being present. Swapped it for a new actuator and caliper. Cheaper to buy the two items together rather than the actuator on its own...

Plugged it in. Happy days.

Did you set your handbrake into maintenance mode before winding back the calipers sir ?
