Sidestep sheared off

Day 1 of the wife's new (19 month old MY67) car isn't going quite so well.

As I parked it up I opened the door at a restaurant I had arrived at to hear a clunk. Odd I thought but couldn't see anything, anyway on then getting out of the car I saw that the sidestep had sheared off at the bracket that holds it onto the mechanical arms.

I've done some searches but can't see this as a noted issue. The car still has the warranty left so assume all will be well, unless the previous owner did something untoward to it of course.

Given it's a LWB I hope it won't take long to get the spare part.

Also I noted in the car the cameras didn't work and it said speak to your dealer they are turned off, odd but I've asked them about that too as I dropped it off with a LR Main Dealer that happened to be about 5 miles away, didn't fancy driving it far with the front of the sidestep flapping around. 1994 Range Rover LSE Autobiography
