Adjust position of deployable steps?

Does anybody know if it's possible to adjust the positioning of the deployable side steps in the closed position? I'm hoping I can reduce the gap I can see when looking at the side of the car:

I suppose I should have clarified. The steps came with the car and I have disabled them since I don’t use them. My hope was that there are some bolts somewhere that allow for fine tuning of the position of the steps so I can get them tucked away nice and tight, so I don’t have to see the huge air gap between the sill and the step. . 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray

Would removing them not be a better option ? 2015 4.4 AB

Thought about that. But the side steps require a different kickplate panel below the door line, so I'd have to purchase a set of the standard panels to replace. 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray

Not sure what the kick plate panel is but if its required then the cost might be the deciding factor for you. 2015 4.4 AB
