Tracker fuel shut off options

I have a third party tracker that I will get fitted to my 2014 L405, and it comes with a relay suggesting that you connect it to the fuel pump. However LR technical suggest that this is a bad idea (no idea why I didn't talk to them) - So my question is has anyone done this, how did they do it, or what would you suggest for remote disabling?

Thanks.

Well basically it could end up starving the fuel delivery system down the line. So the high pressure fuel pumps for the injector rails may run dry /empty /starved and become unlubricated from no fuel... Potentially leading to damage of same.

I suppose it's a balance of the risk of that versus losing the whole car to theft. V8 or else ...

I'd have it triggering a dual pole relay fitted to the start stop button, one pole activates stop and the other to disconnect the start side to prevent a restart. Current

Its all well and good until the vehicle gets shut off on a busy junction, in the path of a 38 tonner... Whistle

It's powered by a tracker so you'd already be logged onto the tracking software and be able to see where the car is real time and decide where to stop it.

It could be intentional, they wouldn't be nicking cars again Twisted Evil Current
