Is there a consensus on best motor oil to use on the SC 5.0?

I just got my car and am planning to immediately change oil. With the earlier runs of this engine having horrific timing chain issues/catastrophic faults I'm curious if you guys have hashed out what the best oil is for these rigs. I did search this but didn't come up with anything definitive unless I missed the thread. I see the filler cap says 0w-20 but the atlantic british kit comes with castrol edge 5w-20...

TIA

-Brad

A Trap

Brad, you will only get opinions or bias from a vendor/manufacturer. No one as anything but anecdotal evidence like ‘I have used brand XXX for years with out problem’ or ‘my engine went bang using brand XXX’ or ‘engine seemed smoother after the oil change to brand XXX’ none of which proves anything at all.

Best advice is match the oem spec and buy a quality brand, then change it regularly.

The invoice from my last main dealer service shows Castrol 0W - 20 Edge Professional ENV having been used. The car seems fine, though only 17,500 miles at present. Only Range Rovers since 1988
