United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

Exhaust sensor replaced without issue today and vehicle hand back to me. Thumbs Up

10 miles later, when on the M4, back came the "Restricted Performance" error message! Big Cry Due the 50 MPH speed limit for the road works, I was able to carry on without too much issue.

Booked in again for Monday. Whistle 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Go slow mode

I don’t know if this works for you

I found that by setting the cruise control at 70mph , m25 on a free day, the car would stick to its revs of around 1200 ish and just work up to the speed.... of course hills and other cars would force a change in progress.

Absolutely incredible to see this machine at work. Even in go slow mode. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Yes that is my experience of the "Restricted Performance" as well. Although I have not been able to test at any higher speed than 50 MPH due to speed limits and my reluctance to drive it at all with that error message. 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Could be simply one of the 4 short rubber hoses from the plenum with a split in it .

Just shows what they can do if looked after. Good luck Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

The car’s been for sale for a few months and will have been parked up for nearly all of that time. It’s probably reasonable that reawakening a well used car, after it being asleep for a few months, has found out a few minor weaknesses. Hopefully this’ll just be a passing through phase Thumbs Up

Update

After the "RP" fault going to work Friday morning I was able to drive ok Friday evening and over the weekend (approx. 150 miles) until on the M25 after about 40 miles of driving the dreaded "RP" error message reappeared.

Anyway the local independent Land Rover specialist checked the error codes on Monday and have now replaced the throttle body and motor. Picked the car up this morning and the 25 mile drive to work down the M4 went without incident. - So far so good!

I really hope they fixed it this time as I am getting so much grief from SWMABO! Embarassed 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Just say to her that that is one more part you won't have to change - I say it so often my dearly beloved just shakes her head and walks away - no grief result
Good luck and I am sure it will be all good in the end.

Yes Rovertune did the warranty work.

Then I had the Reading JLR dealership carryout a full service (in order to retain the car's full JLR service history) and Rovertune then carried the recommend work from the health check the dealership advised should be done. 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad

Top lads there at Rovertune Thumbs Up
They did the same EGT sensor (P040D error) for me recently with no issues whilst it was in having the secondary turbo replaced (leaking) and oil pump plug leaks sorted. Rob and Phil there knows there onions Bow down
Did the throttle body swap out sort the RP issue?
How's it running now? It's good hear that they can run for over 300K miles Bow down I'm on a mere 95K Rolling with laughter 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Right now "Big Blue" is going strong and has reached 330,050 miles.

My fingers are crossed that the warranty work and full service will be sufficient to keep BB on the road until MOT time in July. 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD Sad
