Radiator/Cooler in Drivers Side Wheel Well

Fixing my range rover which had some damage, and there is just in front of the wheel that got a slap. It is a 3.6 09 Facelift version, but unsure what the rad or cooler is for.

Any help greatly appreciated!

It is an auxiliary radiator for the cooling system, think a new one is about £270 from Land Rover in the UK.

No although I am sure I have seen diagrams saying it is an oil cooler.

The top feed off it come from the large metal pipework that runs to the bottom of the main radiator it is often this hose that rubs through on the header tank bolts. The bottle m hose of it travels on the side of the radiator and connects to one of the hoses near the top of the radiator.

Due to package constraints an auxiliary radiator is required to maintain acceptable coolant temperatures under arduous driving conditions such as high-load and high ambient temperatures. This radiator is located in the in the RH wheel arch area, with cooling airflow supplied by a dedicated aperture in the front bumper. The auxiliary radiator is connected in parallel with the main radiator, with the coolant flow being controlled by the main engine thermostat. 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway
