To do anything clever you need the Land Rover system (IDS), or to be cleverer the Black Box Solutions or Autologic diagnostic kit.

Navcoder allows you to change settings in the light module. Google it. I did a writeup on obd readers, it was quite comprehensive - as already suggested try search.

Even the most basic sw should read and clear the MIL. I use a hot version of Digimoto I torrented as it gives sensor readings too, but it's still basic. At the end of the day an OBD reader is only ever going to reset your MIL and tell you why it came on etc. Still very much worth it, I've certainly got my monies worth. I know the "Rover All-comms" software is nearing completion, this will be able to clear faults from all the vehicle systems. Although currently I'm unsure whether this will work so well for the later years. |

@martin. you'd think that someone somewhere would have copied the official landrover software and let us mere mortals have access to it...BBS units do the lot but at £1k its to expensive for the average bloke, maybe they could produce software only products at a cheaper price..

Well, yes. Although I thought there was legacy iBus equipment in yours? The LCM being one of them or is it completely differnt to the BMW unit?

The LCM won't be MOST though. Only the entertainment gear ran on the MOST. The iBus ran everything in the early ones, and the legacy BMW components on the later ones iirc.
