Think I read somewhere where it said it did a 30 min cycle?

Did you start the FBH by remote/touch screen? If not, it's supposed to assist in heating the engine, not cabin. And a 10 minute drive is not enough to achieve enough heat for the FBH to shut down.

It runs to aid the engine and cabin warm up. When you stop it needs to cool down a little before shutting down after a short run, mine does exactly that. BMW i3 Electric Car

On my td6 the fbh was still running after a 12 mile drive last winter (and yes I have changed the stat for a genuine one at £80) it seems that the fbh runs till the gauge gets to about a third way up, so far up the gauge is yours ? |
