Fitting wheels without TPMS Sensors? Bad idea?

Hey guys

I'm looking at alternative wheels. The set I have my eye on may not have the sensors. To be honest, I'm not bothered about the functionality, I'm used to regularly checking my pressures anyway. But if I fit them is the car going to throw a hissy fit if it can't contact any sensors? And if so how easy to switch it off?

Iidtool can turn them off. I did it years ago as I was getting too many false alerts. Bloody useless things. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

As above - IID Tool can turn the warning light off - as I understand it's an MOT fail if illuminated.

I hated the TPMS on the L322 - the valves are prone to corrosion. I bought an IID just to turn the warning off after having the TPMS valves removed & replaced with rubber ones.

First thing I did when I got my IID Tool was turn the b**** thing off.

From Gov MOT website :-

Vehicles first used on or after 1 January 2012 will be checked to make sure the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) MIL is working.

But as said it is an mot failure if showing a fault but if switched off no problem
Bit like bald spare wheel
