So got every thing unbolted and disconnected. I can’t however get starter motor far enough forward fir the splined end to drop down ie to clear the housing where it bolts in , I can turn it but it won’t get clear.

Any ideas? Thanks 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
