United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue
[SOLD] Supercharged alternator

For sale is a used alternator taken off of my 2006 4.2 Supercharged Range Rover. I installed a new alternator as I we have changed all the pulleys and tensioner, while chasing an engine rattle. This alternator was working perfectly before removal. The bearings are quite quiet but I don't know how long this alternator has been on the car and how much life it has left. Genuine Land Rrover made by Denso.

Part number YLE500190

Offers around £30

Re: [For Sale] Supercharged alternator

how did you go about changing this? From the bottom or through the front/headlight area?

Looks like a pain.

If the alternator is still for sale im interested as a spare.

Hi Andyt,
I did this two weeks ego.
Best is to take out the main cooling fan and shroud.
Than take out the expansion bottle and than you have acces
more or les. Its a simple job but everything is very thight.
Succes

Thanks, That's a relief to hear. There's a video on YouTube where one guy takes the entire front end off and chats about it for 30 mins. Didn't know what to think!

What tool did you use for the viscous fan? Off the shelf or specialist? 36mm?
