Steering wheel is trying to kill me please help

Every time i get in the car the steering wheel drops right down cutting the circulation off in my legs,
I have to fight my way out turn ignition off and take the key out then restart the car and the steering wheel goes back to normal
i don't know why she is being like this i have lavished thousands on her
please help before i loose my legs

Turn off the lazy entry (or similar words - lol) for the steering wheel via a GAP iiD tool or disconnect the electrical connector for the raise / lower motor (under the flexible shroud) after getting it to a reasonable position. You've then got time to decide when / if to fix the well known issue. Paul,
