Diesel Heater - WEstminster

Hi,

Does anyone use these on the range Rovers and do they ever work?.

I have had many of the Webasto and eberspacher ones on cars, vans, campers and motorhomes in the past. Usually without issue.

But the one on my Westminster:

Battery on remote was flat, replaced with new and it lasted a week without use.
Another new battery and now it has worked, just once.

Remote battery is ok
Car Battery is ok
Tank is full of diesel.

Search forum for FBH or Fuel Burning Heater or Webasto - the answer will be there somewhere (there will be a lot!) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Have you turned the heating up?
Mines temperamental & only works when it wants to.

Yep mine's been a bit flaky of late too. Thought it was low on fuel but after a fill-up it's still not playing ball. Wee green light flashes on the remote but go out to car 20 mins later and it's still stone cold.

Bought an ice scraper instead. £1.25 in Asda. 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)

They are fickle things.

Mine works for about 30 seconds then stops running. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Have you tried just setting it manually for a specific time ?

I have set mine for 7am for 10 minutes, and it runs great. Gets the interior up to temp and defrosts the windows too Cool

I'm interested in your experiences of the eberspacher units, as I want to fit one in my van Mr. Green Too many toys, not enough time

We've got an eberspacher D2 in our camper and I think it's really noisy, especially the fan. I'm wondering if the motor's knackered, but it's almost new. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

No, not tried that.

I have had many Diesel heaters in Motorhomes, campers, vans and add heater versions (boosters).

The Webasto have never failed me. Whilst I have had issues with Eberspacher.

Never tried the Chinese versions
