low speed steering judder went away?

I have the low speed steering judder (assuming similar/same to the TSB about double flush transfer case fluid). I haven't carried out the double flush yet but I swapped my 22" wheels for 20" snow tires this weekend and the judder is totally gone. How would that be possible?

There has been a thread in which 22" Conti silent tyres were found to cause a judder due to the insulating material having moved inside the tyres. Might that be it? Or weights fallen off front wheels? Only Range Rovers since 1988

Could be uneven wear on your old tyres on the old wheels or issues with the old wheels ?

tires were p-zero and the wear all looks about even. I'm at a loss... The highest probability of the judder would be from a stop taking a turn under a fair amount of throttle. The same maneuver done slowly, no judder. Same maneuver but not from a stop, no judder. It was only when taking a sharp turn from a stop giving it a liberal amount of pedal there would be a popping/judder from under the car. Sometimes the judder would be horrible, others no so bad. With more time with the snow tires on the car it still does it, but the judder is greatly reduced and almost a non-issue. With the snow tires on I have to make a real effort to set the condition right to cause a judder. Very strange.

Could the noise and judder relate to tyre skip ? Some tires have more lateral movement to absorb the forces others less causing them to skip / drag over the road surface when on full lock. Prevalent on lots of four wheel drives and also sportier cars like Porsche’s with stiff suspension. 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream

No, now that I've been driving the car a while with the snows on there it is still doing this... it is just very faint and intermittent. Somehow the bigger wheels/tires made it more pronounced.
