Hazards flashing randomly

I have recently been told by my neighbor whilst i'm at work my 2011 V8 diesels hazard lights start flashing for about 20 minutes and then stop, no alarm sound just the hazards. I think i have a faulty bonnet sensor as it sometimes shows as open when its locked down. could this be triggering the hazards if locking in only single lock mode?

any advise would really help so i know what to look to replace/fix

thanks

i'd check that bonnet sensor first..

also if you have no 'noise' when the alarm goes off then the siren might need replacing.. ... - .- -.

open drivers window, double lock, and after about a minute stick your hand/arm through the window...that will set off the proximity alarm.. ... - .- -.

Thanks that's where I'm expecting to find it but am not. Maybe it was removed?

Siren is behind the drivers wheel arch liner, behind where the mudflap would be Thumbs Up
