United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Moved from P38 to L322

I think you could call me a LR Petrol head. Had three door, classic and P38s plus series 2 and 3 with a sprinkle of Discos inbetween. Taken the plunge after driving around in Jap, American and three pointed star offerings and bought a tidy early L322 Vogue with 4.4 and lpg.... It maybe because I am immune to the pain of LR ownership but I love the L322... can't stop grinning everytime I go out in the old barge. Has a few issues, which I am working through but far less than most I have seen. Dodgy rear parking sensor, track rod ends starting to chatter and not long before I will need some rear discs and gearbox needs a new solenoid. These jobs were in the budget... even a refurb gearbox if it needed it. The barge only owes me £350 so I have a way to go before it seriously empties my wallet but as I am not running it as a daily driver... I aint bovered. Thumbs Up

Did a bit of trading up over a couple of weeks and then stuck the money in the L322. Started with a £300 X trail then bought another for £75 and a set of wheels for £80, parts and MOT £150 then flogged the lot for £2000, paid £1200 for the L322 and spent £300 for service items, wood interior and an alternator.... so probably into it for £300-400 once the dust settles. I need stuff to pay for it's self these days, I have a business which takes my spare cash. I enjoy taking other peoples cast offs and turning them into something which is useable and often saleable. Benefit of having a large barn is that I can sit on stuff until prices rise. It is a bit like gambling, you can only do it if you are prepared to lose money. I have down time at work and use it for researching trends and finding the adds which people overlook. I was lucky that both the X trails were less than 2 miles from my house and the L322 was 7 miles. I have travelled as far as Cornwall for Range Rovers, worth it for a good one! Thumbs Up

I’ve also just come out of a P38 and gone into my first L322, a 2006 (2007 facelift) 4.2 Supercharged. I’ve had 2x Classics, 2x P38’s now my first L322.
