United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

My FBH was playing up the other day, but I’m pretty sure it’s due to low battery.

New LR Agm battery sitting in the garage awaiting fitting. Will be interested to see if it works better as the new LR battery is only 90Ah vs 95 on the original. It’s the right one, part numbers follow through the superceded list......etc. We shall see. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Interesting, LR one?

Looking on LRparts website that are all now 90ah with all the LR part numbers.

The one I have got from Lr is an Exide one, I think that the one in the car is a Varta.....so maybe they switched suppliers..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

So I’ve just gone to pull Fuse 59 and it doesn’t exist on my car. It’s a spare slot by the looks of it. I assume my fuse box is no different to a 2008 car so why is it missing? What fuse do I pull to reset the FBH (apart from the one under the bonnet)

The pump did click again last night followed by the turbine noise and what’s best described as “room temperature” air blowing from the exhaust but only for around 2 minutes then is stopped again. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

New LR battery.

FBH all happy again. Smile

Just fired up got some ticking, then whirring/whining, air out of the vents and it was tepid.... however I’m happy/convinced it fired up and given a 10 min run would warm the car. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

That is probably the same battery as the LR one which came out of mine, which was a Varys 95/850 in 019.

LR one was more but after faffing about with batteries on my 3.6 I figured that I would just put the LR one in. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I just tried something which I noticed made some difference.

I set the timer climate to come on at work. Set it for 1525hrs and sat in the car whilst it activated. I hear the fan come on and it sounded like it got louder. After around 2 minutes I started the car. Within 10 minutes the car was almost up to operating temperature. There was a faint whiff of something like stale water coming through the vents.
I’ve never known the car warm up so quickly though so I’m wondering if it carried on running when the engine started (like it’s supposed to?).
When I got home I checked with IID tool and no faults were logged. That’s not unusual to be honest as I’ve never seen a FBH fault.
I did check the operation within the IID tool and the test succeeded. I could hear the fan start up while the test was running. It used to fault (E7) when I ran the test before.
I’ll wait for it to cool down and try again later to see if it fires up.
