Ok, so I bit the bullet and bought the Evo, because well, it's reassuringly expensive, right? (Maybe not expensive enough???)

App loaded on phone - check
Account created and signed in - check
Device serial number and activation code entered - check
Evo plugged in - blue power light - check
Bluetooth scan and pair device - check
Range Rover version download and installed - check
Select Range Rover - check
Evo - beeps twice and then again - check
App says loading.... loading...
Wait a bit
"Lynx Evo app has stopped working"

Tried several times - rebooting phone, unplugging device and restarting phone - every time "Lynx Evo app has stopped working"

2003 L322 4.4

I'll call Lynx support tomorrow

In the meantime, anyone else used the Evo and had this and resolved the problem?

I bought one could not get it to work sent it back got a refund then bought a Gap IID BT money well spent top-class support

So far I've had "uninstall the app, re-install & try again" and "try on a different phone \ tablet"

Will give that a go - if no joy, it's going back.

Will update this later for others' consideration

The one thing I didn't try was uninstalling and re-installing the app on my phone.

That did it.

Keep us posted. Not much info on the Lynx on here or other forums. We all default to Gap IID Bluetooth.

It seems to have access to everything (not used an OBD reader before - so all new to me).

Gave me the code for the check engine light I had - a running lean error. Have cleared that away to see if it resurfaces. Also cleared a handfull of parking sensor errors.

It's not VIN locked - it's family group locked - which might help others in the group - I can hook up other members RRs if you're in the area (Manchester Northern Quarter weekdays \ Saddleworth eves \ weekends - small donations to ease hole in wallet most welcome ).

I saw Lynx Evo in the title and thought someone had gotten a 1970's after-shave for Christmas!

I bought an evo for my p38.

Ended up returning due to app loosing it's mind and not reading the codes that even the dash could display!

Unfortunately one of Britparts less good products. __
