The guide you posted is for the older L322. The L405 has the 8HP70 I believe. Do you have a guide for this?

Many thanks
Kind regards

When you go through the gears......this is as straightforward as ensuring you apply the brakes whilst doing so?

Yes absolutely. No need to allow the wheels to turn. It's simply to allow the torque converter to fill with oil so you dont under fill the transmission Thumbs Up

Thank you

If you had a mega flush done, how many hours labour does it take including filter change at a garage? Between 2 or 3 maybe?

ZL 8HP gearbox oil channe

My fullfat rr is a tdv8 2012 4.4 which is probably due for gearbox oil/ filter change. Can anyone tell me if a special tool for removal / refit of the filler plug Is really necessary. A tool re Lange Rover no 307-452 is mentioned in despatches but MD at Bristol can’t / won’t supply?
Happy to take it into my local garage with oil etc but wonder if they can do the job without this tool?

Any help appreciated.

Dave

Thanks for that then , I’ll check thru the membership list. Been to wet etc lately to have a look under but a good time to plan the next jobs. Spoke to nearest MD and they quoted over £200 just for the sump pan?
Cheers
Dave
