I wanted to upgrade my rear lights to LED, but I change my FF quite often and wanted to keep the lights for the inevitible next one once I sell this car after the winter. It's an expensive mod I'll only need to buy once!

I bought the little circuit boards from PowerfulUK and visited a breaker today for some parts, inc a pair of rear light wiring looms and a pair of rear light bulb holders which I cannibalised for the female ends of the multiplugs.

So, after some work with the Dremel and some soldering, we have these - plug and play adaptors for fitting LED lights to a 2006> FF.

They won't win any awards for looks.. I'll cover the boards in heat shrink once they have been tested ok. I'm sure they'll work fine. The new lights should arrive tomorrow and I'll get them fitted.

Having facelifted the front of the car, it's time for the back.. I fitted a very clean set of LED rear lights, these are the ones that are black inside instead of grey, they look great on a black car. To fit them, I made adaptors using wiring looms and bulb holders from a salvage car I visited at a breakers, this means I can simply unplug and remove them and use them in my next RR.
Also added a black RR badge instead of the aged green LR one and new VOGUE SE lettering in black and a new TDV8 badge in black/silver. What a difference. I have a private number to put on it too (with an oversize/correct size rear) just waiting on some paperwork arriving before it goes on.

Some before/afters..

I have it booked in for paint repairs to the tail gate, that's next on the list. 2010 FF 4.4 TDV8 Vogue - Gone

ABS and traction light came on a few days ago along with 'HDC inactive' and 'suspension lowered' warnings. I had it plugged in and it said rear right ABS sensor faulty amongst some other items.
So I had a new ABS sensor fitted today, but the ABS and traction light remains on and the warning messages are still there too.. We plugged it in again and it's still reading a fault at the rear right speed/ABS sensor so I have been advised to order a new ABS ring and hopefully that'll cure it. Am I right in thinking that the HDC and suspensions warning messages will be related to the faulty sensor/abs ring?

In other news, after a fortnights wait I got my retention cert through so I put my new private reg no on today..

..yes, I'll need to replace that reg plate light bulb!

Anyone else got a RR related number? 2010 FF 4.4 TDV8 Vogue - Gone
