Alternative tracking device

One of the issues about tracking devices is that the bad guys seem to know where they are...

I have just discovered this item, and I’m wondering if it will be a useful back up. Tile the tile app. Com

Thetileapp.com I’m not sure the link works, but look it up,

Battery operated. 1-3 years battery life, Can be placed anywhere, some are water proof..

If the widget comes within striking distance of anyone running the app, you are sent a signal.

Not so expensive and maybe a useful back up...no good for insurance, but peace of mind....

I’m still investigating ... thoughts?

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

According to their web site it has a 150ft range which isn’t that much. I have a similar type of tracker for my cat and it’s states 100 ft range. It’s much less in practice.

There are rumors that Apple are going to bring out a similar device to the Tile that uses any local Apple device to detect its location and transmit the device location back to the owner (via the cloud no doubt). This should be a market leader if/when launched.

I fitted the Meta Trak to mine. Far more expensive than the Tile though.

I would recommend one of these. https://www.trackersecurity.co.uk/index.html

Their website has examples of recoveries and it requires no wiring into the car so can be hidden anywhere.

The pro is 400 foot claimed range

The plus for me is it’s not wired and can be hidden anywhere,.... will research Apple as suggested. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits.
