Cylinder numbering help

Can anyone tell me how the cylinders are numbered on a 2004 BMW 4.4 V8 please.

I have looked on the web but get conflicting answers!

Thanks

Thank you.

Just to be sure, the right bank is on the right as I look at the engine from the front?

Automotive ‘left’ & ‘right’ is always from the perspective of the driver sat in their seat i.e. looking at the car from the rear. Standing at the front of the car facing the engine is therefore the opposite way around.
