L322 difficult to fill with fuel

Odd one this, although it could have been a faulty fuel pump. Problem was that the pump kept cutting out as if the tank was full, except it was nowhere near full. Is there a vent or something for the tank that could get partially blocked which might cause the pressure in the tank to increase and trip the fuel pump nozzle? Drives:

They are fitted with a wrong fuel block function, it’s listed in the manual, there is a reset tool in with the spare wheel, possibly this

I had the same issue. Guys on here said to turn nozzle upside down. Did a full tank yesterday without issue. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

I've had this too. Thought it was full, I always do a few clicks of the pump. Turned out to only be three-quarters.

Strangely I've now had both of the Fatty's do this and it's at the local Shell station. I've done all the usual turning the nozzle around etc. and it helps but doesn't cure it. The wrong fuel block function hasn't been triggered on either car. I'm going to fill up elsewhere next time to see if it's the pumps. It's still perfectly possible to brim the tank, but it takes a long time and it's annoying. Drives:

I have the same. Was told on the forum it´s just one of the pleasures of RR ownership.

You could look into a faulty fuel gauge sensor. The problem is well documented if you search on the forum.

My car always showed about 20 litres more than was actually in it and so it would cut of the pump early. RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - 11

I just filled my Fatty up at a different Shell station, no problems. I'm begining to suspect it might by to do with the auto shut off mechanism on some fuel delivery nozzles being far more sensitive than others. Drives:
