Parts prices

Can't believe the quote i just got for 2 CV joints along with discs and pads all round from JLR for my soft dash

£1566.76 + vat Shocked

The discs and pads i have sorted but the CV joints is turning out to be not so easy.

Seems to be everything bar Ashcroft are cheap junk and doubt they will last very long

Ashcroft are £505 for the pair + vat but i also then have to change the shafts adding
another £245 + vat to the bill Dunk

The issue i have is everyone appears to only stock the same very cheap
CV joints, i had an OEM listed joint fitted and it hasn't lasted 9000 miles of
purely road use which isn't very good

Island are good on price and have spoken to them before, they
were professional on the phone but only have the same cheap
parts Dunk

Thanks for that, had a look and they only list an aftermarket CV joint, no makers name

I think what i'll do is bite the bullet and get the Ashcroft parts
which should last a very long time seeing as my classic is a
tarmac queen Smile Dunk
