TD6 Fuel Pressure issues

Hi All,

I have a new to me TD6 that has been running fine for a couple of weeks, various journeys from start stop to 30+ miles and all has been fine.

Last week I drove around 2 miles stopped for about 2 mins at a shop and then it wouldn't restart. 30 mins later it did start.

Left it on the drive and tried it once per day and it started fine, until today, same issue cranks fine but no start.

Diagnostics (hawkeye pro) gives the following codes:

DTC: 1260 Fuel low pressure control
DTC: 9F6 Fuel pressure monitoring whilst starting

I did a leak back test yesterday and all returned more or less the same amount of fuel, so I don't think its the injectors.

With this ignition on, the diagnostics say pre-supply pressure is 1.1 bar, rail pressure 0. when cranking, this goes to 1.0 and actual peaks at around 80 and drops to 40 in a few seconds of cranking.

Again with ignition on, rail pressure valve is 1378.6mA and while cranking stays around the same, peaks at approx 1400.

From what i've read it looks like one of the rear fuel pumps maybe failing, can anyone suggest which one it may be based on the info above? Or am I barking up completely the wrong tree?

Fuel filter is new and put on when I got the car.

Thanks.

Could be 2nd fuel pump under passenger side door.

Easy to replace.

Think wiki has steps to replace.

Pre supply is too low. Ideally 5 bar but 3.5 will work. Either sensor or one of the 2 pre supply pumps. In tank or underneath near the rear left wheel

Found just a little bit of wear in the pump!
