Products that fell short of expectations?

Saw this Meguiars brush and thought, this is what’s been missing from the shops for years. A good quality, rigid, long, wheel cleaning implement capable of properly cleaning the wheel faces and right into the back of the rims. Ideal concept for reaching into the innards of the turbine alloys.

At £18, not cheap but... they do make quality products. Bought it.

Fitted the bill perfectly on all counts, including its length of reach into the full width of the inner rims.

First use, reached into the inner rim and it all unravelled, literally 😂

Took it back to Halfords and the chap said “Not another one.” Back to the drawing board for ideas 😂

One to avoid then. I use the Halfrauds own brand brush. Dirt cheap but does the job.

I find it easier to clean the wheels when they have stopped spinning. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter John

Cleaning the wheels - whatever next Shocked

My tip with the turbines is a quick wipe with sponge (or hotel towel) on the diamond cut bits - the rest of the wheels are dark grey anyway, so you don't really see the brake dust Whistle

Joking aside - mine might get its spring wash early seeing as the COID thing means I'm home well ahead of schedule. It's not looking too terrible for a car that's not been washed since Autumn Embarassed

Guy I used to work with in Paris spent well over €100 on a Mercedes branded umbrella from the Dealership on Champs Elysees.

The second time he opened it the whole thing fell apart!!

I've got two never used before if he wants to buy another Smile

They were 'free' in the vehicles underneath the boot...

Does the job nicely and then leave it on the clothes line until next time. Mr. Green
