Looping it around the ball seems to be the only option. |

The eye on the side of the bar is for the breakaway cable. Looping round the ball is not advised as the weak point is the neck of the ball. I did find that i needed a shorter breakaway cable to stop it dragging on the ground. |

DON'T loop it round the ball hitch - if the ball fails the cable could spring off & not apply the brakes.

Off topic, but registration & testing of trailers makes a lot of sense.
