Replacement subframe

HI

The engine subframe on my 2002 l322 seems to have rotted through. A new LR part is more than 1500. The part number is LRKGB000074 does anyone know where I might be able to source one of these to save the beast?

I've never used Facebook market. Is it a good source. I've been scammed on eBay before so I am a bit wary

I got badly burnt with a gearbox. An £800 lesson I won't forget anytime soon. He said if I returned it he'd refund me. I foolishly did. Coos had no interest in it.

Try www.gentlemenofsalvage.co.uk

They have a couple of second-hand ones for £200, which with a bit of rubbing down and respraying may be of some use.

I've visited their premises to pick up several items (including a replacement engine) as they are close by. They only break cars with MOTs and no accident damage, so the sub-frames should be straight.

Always found them very helpful on the phone and in person. David

I've used POSH parts via eBay & directly. They're near Warwick & all experiences so far have been good - although I'm close enough to drive over & pick stuff up, not needing to use any courier options.

EDIT : As an aside, changing the subframe is a big job.
I know someone who had welding done on the existing subframe at a much lower cost than changing it! Paul,

Does anyone have any experience with this seller. He has the part and it looks good:

The ad appears to say its not compatible with a TD6 for some reason.
Maybe off a petrol V8 ? Paul,

I bought something from them only last week. They assured me that it would fit and sure enough it did. Only problem was that it wasn't the part in the description!

Emailed, apology accepted, returned by post for free, refund received. Process is good but you should satisfy yourself that what you're buying is what you need as they might not know themselves.

If you need a front one find a 44 v8 that’s had an oil leak - my old one was like new when I sold it for breaking where as the old one looked like it lived in the sea Current stable:
