Hi. I hope everyone is well and virus free. Can someone help me with a valuation and has anyone sold a Range Rover through ebay or autotrader ? I have a 2017 sdv8 in Corris grey. It has 34k and I am 2nd owner. I advertised on ebay some weeks ago and had countless calls with people trying to swap for all kids of crap and I withdrew it as I couldn't be bothered with time wasters. It came from a private company with full service and a great spec. The owner chose options inc head up display, deployable steps, sliding roof, locking diff, illuminated tread plates etc. It also came with summer mats and rubber winter mats with boot liner, all genuine gear and it even came with the leather care kit with brolly and holder in the boot. The landrover warranty was extended and runs to sept 2021 as does the in Control and command and remote start apps. The only thing I have fitted is an svr front grill that someone gave me but the original is still here. I'm unsure if the front Svr armrest adjusters are genuine but they seem amazing quality and the original landrover boxes were still in the boot that had the svr chrome accelerator, and brake pedals in along with a winch to lift the spare wheel. Does £44k for such a spec seem reasonable and if so what sale sites do members find they have less hassle with dreamers and test pilots. Many thanks for any advice given. All the best .

Hi Stan. Yes, good point. I have to be out daily so I didn't really think about that.i have rarely sold private and always part ex with dealers but the ebay thing was a nightmare. It may be worth a try on autotrader when things calm down a bit. Hopefully it's soon Bec I want to advertise with as much warranty as poss. Thanks for your post, appreciated.

If you are looking for an indicative value you could try Parker’s guide on the internet and it will give you a value based on age and average mileage. You can input any extras, etc and the valuation will be updated accordingly but you do pay for that. Parker’s provides different values for, Private, part Ex, franchised dealer. These are only guidelines as there are a multitude of things that can affect the value, market conditions, colour specs inside and outside, etc.

For a guide I recently paid 40 for a 16 4.4 AB with 39k on it at an MD

I would guess you could argue a 17 is refactor worth more, but deduct some for a private sale etc, so 44 is ish about right. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Whatever avenue you choose to sell your car, (which sounds amazing by the way).Do NOT under any circumstances use We Buy Any Car, or other similarly like-minded websites.
They are owned by British Car Auctions and are basically thieves.
I had the misfortune of being strapped for cash a few years ago, and my Z4 3.0 conv went to them. I lost a fortune. It was through their auction house 2 days later !
If only i'd have known then what I know now !!!!

eBay beware? I tried to sell an expensive watch and was scammed so did not sell it but eBay still wanted their money for the sale even though I did not sell it as it was a scam? 5K watch they wanted over £150 which meant any time I sold anything else
they took the money from my PayPal account.
If you sell private, make sure you have the money in your hand or in the bank before you hand over the keys, NO other payment.

Hi northernmonkeyjones. It's a vse. I wanted an autobiography but when I saw this one in that condition with so much spec I decided to opt for that. Not really sure why they ordered an se then paid out for a load of extras instead of just buying an autobiography. They even changed the side vents and mirror covers to silver and upgraded to 21inch alloys. Out of all the things I found extra on it was 2 brand new unused stainless steel landrover vacuum drinks flasks in the fridge had me laughing haha. The chap must have been landrover mad. Thanks for info.

Thank you chaps for all the posts. Worthwhile and Better advice than I hoped for and it is appreciated even though I've picked just about the worst time I could have chosen to try and sell a car. I hope you all stay well and things get better soon.
