2003 TD6 Noise when radio off

Hi All,

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing a low volume static like noise coming from the speakers when the radio is off?

Its the factory satnav unit and screen with cd autochanger. All works fine except the auto changer which is dead.

You cant hear the static when the radio is on, even at low level.

Statics noise

Hi,
That noise appears on mine only after I've repaired the radio module BM54 and I fixed it with a noise reduction condenser fited on the the BM54 feed.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Update for anyone that has similar issues in the future:

On further investigation I found the amp to be 2 channels down too, drivers side front and rear mid/bass.

I checked and cleaned all the connectors in the boot and doors checked continuity from amp to speaker terminals all ok, same for the earths, no difference to the white noise.

Replaced the amp with one from ebay and the noise is now 99% gone, think thats about as good as its going to get without replacing some expensive bits!
