| WB Member Since: 26 May 2016 Location: London Posts: 304      | I’ve finally found a video of a Supercharged ‘normal’ engine startup/idle. The more I read about this the more I think what I’m hearing is normal direct injection engine noise. I’ve not owned a direct injection engines car before so expected the V8 to be super smooth and rumbly alas that doesn’t seem to be the case for these engines.

I'm just approaching 80k miles on mine and been reading about the timing chain issues ever since I bought the car and wondered.  Shame there isn't any easy what to tell if your car has the fix or not.
